1. Setting up a consulting service for supporting victims of Typhoon No. 19 (Hagibis)
Notice of support for the damage caused by heavy rain and flooding because of Typhoon No. 19 (Hagibis)
Tochigi City set up a consulting service for the victims of Typhoon No. 19 (Hagibis) and accepts applications for the following original subsidies.
Period: From November 23 (Sat.) to December 15 (Sun.) including weekends
Hours: From 9:00 to 17:00
Place: The civic space (1st floor of Tochigi City Hall)
※There will be a large number of applicants. Therefore, more time will be needed for us to process all the applications, so we would appreciate your patience.
※Please bring your Hanko (seal) using ink-pad and bank book with you.
※You should print the photographs beforehand.
2. Relief Money
The Relief Money is going to be paid to the householders who suffered the damage from Typhoon No. 19 (Hagibis). The City Hall will send the form or ‘Saigaimimaikin Sikyu Moshidesyo’ to Relief Money recipients in the middle of December. Please fill out the form and put it in the self-addressed stamped envelope and send it back to the City Hall along with a copy of your bank book.
3. Subsidies for replacement for damaged household belongings, home appliances, automobiles, and repair expenses
The City will provide subsidies for the cost of replacement for damaged household belongings, home appliances, automobiles, and repair expenses.
【Recipients for damaged household belongings, home appliances】Recipients are required to live in Tochigi City and in those households which were flooded over floors caused by Typhoon No. 19.
【Recipient for damaged automobiles】Recipient are required to live in Tochigi City and have experienced the disaster caused by Typhoon No. 19.
【Compensated Expenses for damaged household belongings, home appliances】Futon, gas stove, bed, cupboard, closet, curtain, desk, chair, etc.
【Compensated Expenses for damaged automobiles】Car, motorcycle, 50cc motor scooter.
※ Compensated Expenses will be paid for things that are broken down by Typhoon No. 19 and should be replaced or repaired.
※ Tatami mats, air conditioners, bath tubs, hot water dispensers and so on are pushed aside.
※ Excluding amounts covered by other insurance claims.
【Dead line for damaged household belongings, home appliances】
Payments should be made by March 31, 2020
【Dead line for damaged automobiles】Payments should be made by October 12, 2020
【Limitation of Compensated Expenses for damaged household belongings, home appliances】
20% of total amount (the maximum is 100,000 yen for one household)
【Limitation of Compensated Expenses for damaged automobiles】20% of expenses (the maximum is 100,000 yen per one automobile and 200,000 yen for one household)
When applying for the procedure, you have to bring your seal, bank book, and related documents. Be sure to keep receipts and contracts related to your purchase or repairment to certify the payments.
※ In addition, you have to submit the disaster certificate, or ‘Risai Shomeisho,’ for household belongings, home appliances. In the case of automobiles, you have to submit the disaster-victim certificate or ‘Hisai Shomeisho,’ and automobile inspection certificates.
Deadline for the application: November 12 (Thus.), 2020
※ Each household may apply for compensated expenses with household belongings, home appliances ONLY ONCE. It is the same for automobiles
